HOA BOARD ELECTION COMING SOON
Three of the five HOA Directors’ seats will be up for election this year. These seats are currently occupied by Leslie Abel, Glenn Bell and Mark Osinski. The winners of this election will take their seats immediately following the HOA Annual Meeting in November and serve for two years.
The Election Task Force (ETF), whose mission is to conduct a fair and competitive election, has established an HOA ELECTION WEBSITE on OCA where all information related to the election and the candidates will be posted. The HOA Election Website is available now with limited information and will be updated with new information as the election proceeds.
Following is information about the key dates in the election process:
- Self-nominations will open September 7 and close September 21. Any Carolina Arbors homeowner in good standing with the HOA is eligible to run. Information as to how to qualify for self-nomination is posted on the Election website (note the link on the left side of the Election home page). Candidates, along with information about them, will be announced on the Election website as they qualify.
- The election campaign period will run from September 22 through October 28. In addition to individual candidate campaign activities, the Election Task Force will hold a live candidate forum in Piedmont Hall on the evenings of October 7 for the community to engage with each of candidates. In mid-September the ETF will solicit questions from the community for all candidates. These questions will be given to the candidates over a four-week period. Candidate answers will be posted on the Election website. These questions will also be used for the live candidate forum.
- Voting will open on October 29 and close on November 7. Election results will be announced shortly after voting closes.
The Election Task Force will be using OCA, the CA Facebook page and the CA monthly newsletter to provide many more details about the election and its components as the process rolls out. Please visit the HOA ELECTION HOME PAGE to view all information on the 2026 HOA Board of Directors election.
