Effective January 1, 2023, your monthly HOA assessment for 2023 will be $216
The preferred payment option is to remit monthly payments via direct bank debit through Associa. Once initial set-up is established, no action is required by the Owner. You can be assured that dues are always paid in full and on-time. If for some reason the monthly fee changes, the dollar amount will be automatically adjusted. Changing to this method is easy – just fill out the form and mail it to LandArc (an Associa company) along with a check to cover the one-time $10 set-up fee. Form can be requested from customer service (1-888-646-9888) or picked up at the front desk at Piedmont Hall.
There are four other payment options offered by Associa as summarized below:
Direct bank debit through CIT Bank (formally called Mutual of Omaha)Pros: Allows the Owner flexibility to set up either recurring or manual payments (processing fee charged for credit/debit card payments). Online access is available through OCA: under 'My Stuff' click "Pay Your Association Fee". Cons: If dues change, Owner will need to adjust the amount of the withdrawal to avoid incorrect payment and associated late fees, currently $25 per occurrence + 1.45% of outstanding balance
Bill pay through your local bank Pros: Allows the Owner flexibility to set up either recurring or manual payments. Cons: Risk to funds arriving on-time since a paper check is mailed by the bank. If dues change, Owner will need to modify the amount of the withdrawal to avoid incorrect payment and associated late fees
Pay through TownSq (Associa’s website) Pros: Immediate recording to the Owner’s account. Online access to the website through OCA. May be the best method if immediate payment is needed to avoid a late fee. Cons: Monthly processing fee of $2.95 (eCheck) or $2.95+3.5% (if paid by credit card)
Pay by check (requires pre-printed coupon book – deadline to purchase was November 10th) Pros: Owner controls payments. Cons: $10 coupon book fee; subject to timely USPS delivery, increasing risk of late payment / late fees
By changing to the preferred payment option (direct debit through Associa) and eliminating cumbersome or easily misplaced coupon books, you avoid late, missed or incorrect payments and the HOA will save a substantial amount of money annually for the benefit of us all.
